WHAT IS A HEALTH COACH?
What is a health coach and why would you consider hiring one?
A health coach is a trained and often certified wellness professional. Sometimes, they are confused with dieticians. Health coaches will look beyond the plate into other facets of the client. A holistic approach would be preferential.
Nutrition is one aspect of health coaching, where equal attention is directed toward an individuals’ approach to lifestyle, fitness, stress management and diet — a good health coach will look at the whole person as an individual, as opposed to a one-size-fits-all plan.
It is my hope to help you discover and implement practices that can help you sustain improvement in your overall health and well-being.
Having accountability, motivation and scheduled check-ins with a coach can dramatically increase one’s success in such endeavors.
Well-being means that the different facets of self are in balance. A starting point is to recognize Body, Mind & Spirit. We could further divide the above by exploring fitness level, eating habits, career, education, joy, relationships and even faith.
Human beings are like a pizza… each piece of the pie makes up the whole thing. We would never accept a pizza with a slice or two missing!
Let me ask you a few questions:
— Are you getting enough movement in your day?
— Are you bored or feeling complacent?
— Where do you find joy in life?
If you answered NO, YES and IDK… then may I suggest a serious shift?
Have you ever pondered being the best version of yourself imaginable?!
If you answered NO… then why NOT?
It is my goal as your coach to encourage you to tap into all three aspects of yourself, to bring you into balance
and to help you create the best version of you possible!
